Mechanism of radar wave absorption and bandwidth for easy-plane Y<sub>2</sub>Co<sub>17 </sub>rare earth soft magnetic composites

Wave absorbing materials are widely used to prevent military equipment from being detected by radar wave and also serve as civil electromagnetic shielding. The properties of determined a combination the parameters thickness composite material. In actual case, theoretically designed reflection loss peak intensity bandwidth deviate engineered values. There few reports on mechanism about variation absorption with peak. this work, based an interfacial model, reflective at air interface coating investigated. dependence matching impedance material is determined, further design composites, which exhibit excellent microwave properties, i.e. average value below –10 dB 4–18 GHz in different materials, –20 6–18 materials. matched discussed depth principle theoretical calculations accord experimental results.
